Rates are calculated as the the number of students living in the zip code and enrolled in public school divided by the total number of students who live in the zip code (public plus private enrollment).
Use the filters to view rates for different grade bands or for all of metro Atlanta. Notice that public school enrollment rates are lowest for high school and pre-kindergarten.
The data used in this visual is from the 2016 5-year sample of the American Community Survey. This means the data was collected from 2012 to 2016, and the percentages are estimates because only a sample of the population was surveyed.
